Welcome to the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP) located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!

We are quite excited to be able to offer TWO week-long learning opportunities in Pittsburgh in 2017! Choose to attend one week, or the other, or both!

The listing of the six courses in each week (total of twelve) can be seen here and by clicking on the course name you will see details of all eighteen sessions in each course (also available by hovering over the “Courses” tab). Genealogists of all levels will find courses of interest from novice to advanced and professional.

REGISTRATION: Choose one course you would like to take and then go to the REGISTRATION page which has instructions, pricing, and other options, and links to the registration system for each institute week. Please note that for any course that has reached capacity, there will be a link to request being placed on the wait-list. Cancellations do occur and you will be notified in the order in which you asked to be placed on the wait list.

See Registration page for instructions and links to the registration system for both weeks: June 25-30, 2017 and July 16-21, 2017.

Courses

TWO Institute weeks are being offered in 2017, both in Pittsburgh at La Roche College: June 25 to 30 and July 16 to 21. Click on the course title below to see the description of the 18 sessions in each course and their prerequisites (if any).

Register when you have chosen one of the below courses to attend for the entire week. Each course consists of four lectures per day, except Friday which has two, finishing by lunch time.
