     He was a farmer at near Elmsford, Westchester County, NY.¹ He and Antje Storm had seven children.³ He and Antje Storm lived at Tarrytown, NY.³
     NOTE: Cornelis is listed with two marriages: with Antje Storm in 1697 (7 unnamed children) and with Wyntje Kronkheit (no date, 14 children, starting in 1696). It seems likely that the first seven children are Antje's; there is a big gap between those and the next seven! For a much better treatment of this family see "Early Bergen County Families" by Pat Wardell. I have changed the parentage of the first seven children to conform to her assessment.

     Cornelius Van Tassel was baptized on 1 May 1748 at Sleepy Hollow Church, Tarrytown, NY.¹ He married Elsie Brewer on 30 January 1776 at New York City, NY.¹ He died on 28 April 1830 at age 81.¹ He was buried in the Kimble? Burying Ground in Manlius Center.¹
     He was a Revolutionary War Soldier. After the war he removed to Albany County near Coleskill and in 1805 moved to Manlius, Onandaga County.¹ He and Elsie Brewer lived at Manlius, Onondaga County, NY.¹

     Cornelius Van Tassel was baptized on 1 April 1735.² He married Elizabeth Storm, daughter of Claes Storm and Rachel Conklin, on 16 October 1756.¹ He died on 6 March 1820 at age 84.²
     He was a farmer on the family farm near Elmford, NY.² Name variation: Cornelis Van Tassel.² He was in 1775 a Lieutenant in Col. Drake's Regiment of Militia and a 2nd Lieutenant in Col. James Hammond's Westchester Regiment during the Revolutionary War. He was taken prisoner by the British.²

     Cornelius Van Tassel was born on 24 April 1759.¹ He died in 1785 from effects of escaping from the British in an icy river. He was unmarried.¹

     David Van Tassel was baptized on 28 June 1743.¹ He married Margaret Brush on 13 October 1773.¹ He died before 1801.¹
     David sold the farm and removed to New York City in 1786.¹ He was in 1780 a Revolutionary War soldier. He served in Col. James Hammond's Westchester County Militia and Col. Van Cortlandt's Regiment. He was a prisoner from 1779-1780.¹

     David Lent Van Tassel was born on 21 July 1801.¹
