     James Walter Chandler was born on 12 October 1854 at Irvington, Essex County, NJ.¹ He married Harriette Pritchard in 1882 at Irvington, NJ.¹ He married Margerett Hardgrove in 1885 at Irvington, NJ.¹ He died on 5 November 1928 at Irvington, NJ, at age 74.¹ He was buried on 7 November 1928 in the Clinton Cemetery in Irvington.¹

     Sally Chandler was born circa 1822. She married Ira Sila Ennes, son of Moses DeWitt Ennis and Elizabeth Rose, in 1844.

     Sara Cathrine Chandler was born on 19 June 1883 at Irvington, NJ.^1,2 She married Lewis Morgan Sandford in 1888 at Belleville, Essex County, NJ, (Alt. date and place: c. 1903, Harrison, NJ.)¹ She married David Wilson Bataille, son of Edward Joseph Bataille and Harriet Morse, on 30 August 1899 at Irvington, NJ.^1,3 She died on 7 March 1955 at Lyndhurst, NJ, at age 71.^1,4 She was buried on 8 March 1955 in the Crest View Cemetery in Clifton.¹
     Sara was born to James Chandler and Harriet Pritchard (there is no proof of a marriage). James remarried to Margeret Hardgrove and Sara was raised by them. Harriet either gave up the child to the birthfather or died in childbirth. When Sara was 16, she married David Wesley Bataille. They had 2 children, Walter and Martha. She separated from David (there is no proof of divorce) and married Lewis Morgan Sandford (there is no proof of marriage) and had two more children, James and Mildred. Sara and Lewis raised Martha, James, Mildred and Lewis's son Lewis from a first marriage (Walter was raised by Sara's parents Margeret and James Chandler). Lewis died in 1915 of Tuberculosis leaving Sara to raise three children alone. Sara moved in with her daughter Martha and lived with her until she died in 1955.¹
     Sara left a list of births in her belongings when she died. This is the list. This lists all her grand children. It was dated June 1941. All The Bataille's are Walter Bataille's Children, the Elseys are Mildred Sandford's Children, and the Hills are Martha's children.

     Thomas Chandler was born on 9 October 1664 at Andover, MA.¹ He married Mary Pieters, daughter of Andrew Pieters and Mercy Beamsley, on 22 May 1686.¹ He died on 20 January 1737 at Andover, MA, at age 72.¹

     Walter B Chandler was born in 1826 at Clinton (Irvington), Essex County, NJ.¹ He married Phoebe C Gardner, daughter of Levi Gardner and Cathrine Supenor, circa 1848 at Irvington, NJ.^1,2 He died on 15 March 1909 at Irvington, Essex County, NJ.¹ He was buried on 17 March 1909 in the Clinton Cemetery in Irvington.¹
     Walter lived on Lyons farm (a dairy farm) in Clinton, NJ, which is now Irvington. A bank stands at one corner of the farm in the middle of Irvington.¹

     Johanna Chanitz married Paul Licsauer.¹ She died in 1955 at Jersey City, NJ.¹
