     Isaac Contant was born on 5 January 1843 at Cadzand, Zeeuws Vlaanderen, Zeeland, The Netherlands.^1,2 He married Martha Van Ry on 16 June 1875 at Brielle, Zuid Holland, The Netherlands.^1,3,2 He died on 29 January 1929 at Prospect Street, Lodi, Bergen County, NJ, at age 86.^1,2
     He was a Dutch Reformed Minister. He served in Brielle (1874-79), Loosdrecht (1879-82), Alkmaar (1882-93), Biezelinge (1893-96), Lodi (Liberty Street Christian Reformed Church, 1896-99), and he was the founder of the Reformed Church in Lodi, which he served for about 25 years.^1,2      Surviving, in addition to his wife, are nine of his eleven children: J. D. and Isabella of Lodi, Marinus, Arie, John M. and Mrs. Henry Gerritsen of Hackensack, Mrs. Peter de Jonge in Holland, Peter M. in Hasbrouck Heights, and Cornelius B. of Rochelle Park.^1,2 He immigrated on 27 February 1896 on the SS. Noordam, from Antwerp, arriving in New York on 27 Feb 1896, with 10 children: Johannes (18), Jannis (17), Isaak (13), Anna (19), Jannetje (15), Josina (2), Hendrika (3), Marie [sic] (7), Peter (11), and Marinus (8). They were travelling second cabin.^4,2 He and Martha Van Ry appeared on the census of 1900 at Lodi Twp, Bergen County, NJ. with 11 children: Annie J. (May 1876), John D. (May1878), John M. (Jan 1879), Jennie P. (Aug 1880), Isaac (May 1882), Pieter M. (Oct 1885), Marinus (Dec 1887), Arie (Nov 1890), Henrietta P. (Oct 1892), Josina M. (Aug 1893) and Cornelius B. (Dec 1896). All but Cornelius are born in Holland. Isaac was indexed as James!^5,2 He and Martha Van Ry appeared on the census of 1910 at Lodi, Bergen County, NJ. with five children: John M. (31), Pieter M. (25), Marinus (22), Arie (21), Josina M. (16), and Cornelius B. (13.)^6,2

     He was in 1880 a farmer at Farmington, Ontario County, NY.²      Dallas taught school for several years and worked with his father as a carpenter. He also ran a farm.¹

     Dewitt Clinton Cook was born on 16 August 1813 at Pompey, Onondaga County, NY.¹ He married Sarah C Burr circa 1838 at North Bergen, NY.¹ He married Celestia Cynthia Burr in September 1839 at North Bergen, NY.¹ He died on 8 March 1884 at Clarendon, NY, at age 70.¹ He was buried in the Hillside Cemetery in Holly.¹
     He was a carpenter or house joiner.¹

     Donald Craven Cook was born on 15 May 1907.¹ He married Doris Cook.¹

     Edward Dewitt Cook MD was born on 4 January 1905.¹ He married Gertrude Emily Smith, daughter of Grover Dwight Smith and Lee Glencora Cook.¹ He died on 10 October 1972 at Buffalo, NY, at age 67.¹

     Edward James Cook was born on 4 January 1842 at Clarendon, NY.¹ He married Emily Amanda Hill circa 1865.¹ He died circa 1917.¹
     Edward was a carpenter by trade; he went to Iowa and settled in Marshalltown in his early twenties. He became a Methodist minister with a circuit of 9 churches covering 200 miles. He returned to NY state and built churches at Pavilion, Nunda and Eden. In the 1880's he entered Niagara Univ and received his MD degree. He was in general practice in Buffalo, NY where he died.¹

     Elizabeth Cook was born on 31 October 1820. She married Tunis H. Vreeland, son of Henry Abraham Vreeland and Elenor Hennion, on 27 May 1841 at Methodist Church, Butler, Morris County, NJ, (by the Rev. J.M. Oden Welder.)¹ She died on 27 October 1903 at Newark, Essex County, NJ, at age 82. She was buried on 31 October 1903 in the Old Butler Cemetery in Butler.¹
