     Mary Frances Cortright was born on 22 March 1846. She married Samuel Wells Reed, son of James Reed and Keziah Wells, on 13 February 1867 at Greenville, Orange County, NY. She died on 19 May 1946 at Glen Ridge, Essex County, NJ, at age 100. She was buried in Slate Hill.¹

     Rheuben Cortright was born on 23 April 1790 at Sandyston, Sussex County, NJ. He married Deborah Bedell on 8 October 1808 at Sandyston, Sussex County, NJ. He married Elizabeth Van Etten in April 1830 at Sandyston Twp, Sussex County, NJ. He died on 8 August 1875 at New Genessee Twp, Whiteside County, IL, at age 85. He was buried in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
     Rheuben and his family lived in Sandyston Twp., NJ and all of the children were born there. In 1855 he moved with some of the children to Whiteside Co., IL where several of his children had preceded him. He lived on his own farm for the remainder of his life.
