His parents were Kornelis Renzes Halma and Wytske Eelkes Terpstra.4,2 Of all the children, only Cornelius shows up on his own in the 1920 census (32, Prospect Park, but he should be 34!) A Cornelius (34) is in Muskegon, MI. Matthias (31) is in Detroit, MI. Alex is a boy in the census, but seems to be a girl in the obit.2 The obituary is signed by his wife Mrs. Rense Halma, and the following children: Mr. and Mrs. R. Yeskoot, Mr. and Mrs. P. Meter, Mr. and Mrs. C. Halma, Mr. and Mrs. M. Halma, Miss A. Halma, Miss L. Halma, Miss J. Halma, Mr. J. Halma and Mr. R.
