     Hudson O. Redman was born on 29 January 1826 (Brookville list has date as 28 Jan 1827.)¹ He married Malinda S. Shorey, daughter of David Shorey and Saloma S. Smith, on 20 April 1853 at Hampden, Penobscot County, ME, (Hampden Hist. Soc. 4th Book of Records, p 524, has date as 11 Jan 1853 (maybe license?), witn. George Redman and Addie Emerson.)¹ He died on 5 December 1917 at Presque Isle, Aroostook County, ME, at age 91 at the age of 91 years, 10 months (Gravestone has 5 Nov.)¹ He was buried in the Fairmont Cemetery in Presque Isle (lot 19C.)¹
     He appeared on the census of 1837 in the household of John D. Redman and Margaret Homans at Hampden, ME.¹ He and Leonard Redman appeared on the census of 1850 at Hampden, ME.^1,2 He and Malinda S. Shorey appeared on the census of 1870 at Hampden, ME. Clara E. Redman and Lucillian Redman were enumerated with them.^1,3 He was a teamster.^1,3

     John D. Redman was born circa 1789.¹ He married Margaret Homans on 19 December 1824 at Brooksville, Penobscot County, ME, (Brookville Vital records has intent listed as 1823, and marriage as 23 Apr 1824.)¹ He died on 11 October 1860.¹ He was buried in the Locust Grove in Hampden (Lot 432.)¹
     He and Margaret Homans appeared on the census of 1837 at Hampden, ME. Abigail Redman, Mary E. Redman, Hudson O. Redman, George Redman, Lucy Redman, Leonard Redman, Pamela Redman and Frances Redman were enumerated with them.¹
          Some confusion remains as to the parents of John D. Redman. The list of John Redman's children (Hutson and George) list his parents as Benjamin Redman and Hannah Rea. However, if John Redman died in 1860 at age 71, he was born about 1789. Benjamin Redman married Mary, who died in 1804. He did not marry Hannah Rea until after that date. Only one son named John was born to Benjamin Redman - date given 30 Jan 1793 - could possibly be him, but the wife at that time was Mary.
     There were three adults by the name of Redman in the Brooksville, Castine area, who could possibly be brothers: Benjamin, Iseral, and Capt. John Redman. Capt. John Redman, born in Scarboro 14 Feb 1765, lived in the Cape Rosier section, and had a son John Jr born 1786 (another record shows his son John born in 1788 and died in 1792, with another John born in 1796.) Iseral, born in Scarboro, had many children. One son Johnathan was born 1801; John born 1804. Benjamin Redman was born 24 Nov 1768 - his son John was born 1793. Probate records shed no light on Benjamin or John.
     A list of births of Redman folks in Brooksville, ME shows the children of John Redman (no mother listed) Mercy (b 26 Nov 1818), George (b 20 Oct 1820), Hutson (b 28 Jan 1827), and George (b 18 Dec 1829.)

     David Reed married Sarah Louisa Valleau, daughter of Samuel Valleau and Rachel Borden.¹ He died before 1912.¹

     George Reed was born in 1629.¹ He married Elizabeth Jennison, daughter of Robert Jennison and Elizabeth, on 4 October 1652 at Woburn, MA.¹

     James Reed was born on 5 February 1809. He married Keziah Wells.¹ He died on 31 August 1885 at age 76.
