Mary Staunton married John Callanan.1 She was born at ClarenBridge, County Galway, Ireland.1
Married name: Callanan.      According to letters in 1961 from a 'Cousin Millie'in Gregg Craughwell, John Callanan's wife was Mary Staunton, who came from Claren Bridge.
A picture of her identifying her as Emma Callanan Roche's great grandmother shows her wearing a shawl, which Mollie describes as 'her own, and my own mother wore it for years. It was grey and white.'
As she was Mollie's grandmother, she was probably the mother of not only Edward, who emigrated, but also the mother of Winifred who remained in Ireland and wore the shawl - Mollie's and Patrick Monahan's mother.1
