Author Visit with Julie Orringer
Julie Orringer, author of The Flight Portfolio will discuss her 2019 book which is based on the true story of Ridgewood resident Varien Fry. In 1940-41 Fry volunteered to take on the Emergency Rescue Committee project to bring political and intellectual refugees out of Nazi-controlled France. Orringer’s story revolves around Fry, the struggles he faced, and the lives he effected.
