Cite that Source When You Find It!
Presentation by Chris Tracy
Monday 10 January 2022 @ 2pm Eastern
Online and open to all! Registration required.

Everyone says you need to cite your sources in research—but citing sources in genealogy doesn’t have to be complicated or cause anxiety. Learn the basic components of citations and some tips that will ensure you cover all the necessary information.

This talk addresses the need for citations including necessary parts and basic format and it is centered on the Genealogy Standards and Evidence Explained. It is aimed at taking the anxiety out of writing citations with a few tips and tricks. It also demonstrates how citations for the same document can be revised with genealogy experience/research, new information, and intended use. And, the majority of examples I will show are from New Jersey and Pennsylvania records.
