Paterson Morning Call, Jan. 10, 1962, pg. 23 (Transcription: Cornelius Mastenbroek, a retired landscaper, died on his 90th birthday yesterday afternoon in his home at 207 North First Street, apparently of a heart attack. Born in the Netherlands on Jan 9, 1872 he was the son of the late Nicholas and Katie Mastenbroek. He immigrated to Paterson in 1898 and resided here since. Prior to his retirement 17 yrs ago, he conducted the Mastenbroek and Roughgarden Landscaping Co. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at the Vermeulen Memorial Funeral Home, 131 Haledon Ave. The Rev. Joh. M. Inlanger, Jr. of the ? Methodist Church of Haledon will officiate. Interment will be in Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery)
