     Barent Pieterse Coeymans emigrated in 1639 from Utrecht, The Netherlands, (Barent bought a large tract of land from the Catskill Indians that was later confirmed by King Charles II and Queen Anne.)1 He was a miller of Killian Van Rensselaer.1
