Mr. Ackerman wouldn't leave so Grandpa Veldran watched from the station until Mr. Ackerman went to lunch then he went up, locked the doors and retook possession of the mill. Mr. Ackerman sued to obtain possession of the turbine wheel that he had installed. Mr. William N Johnson (later senator) was Grandpa Veldran's lawyer and he won the case.3 William and Margaretta sold their property to son, William H for the sum of $20,000 on 25 Oct 1877.2 He lived at Hoboken, NJ.3 After the cash bequests the remainder of William's estate was divided equally between the seven living children.2
