James is 39, a lumber inspector, wife listed as Rosannah (age 31 b NY, Father & Mother born Ireland.) James A Grimes appeared on the census of 1900 at Queens County, NY. their children Thomas (son, b Dec 1872) and Theresa (daughter, b July 1876). James A. is listed as born June 1847, employed in a funeral parlor, father & mother born Ireland. His wife is listed as Maggie (b Mar 1846, father born Germany, mother born Scotland.)
     A Ford Family forum inquiry states that a James A. Grimes from Albany, NY is the father of Mary Grimes, married to Andrew J Tuers
     1870 Census, Albany, lists a James Grimes, a printer, and shows New York for birthplace. Children Mary and Maggie correlate for birth dates. a Mary L Grimes is listed as Keeping house. Cannot confirm this James Grimes as the same.

On 20 October 1646 at Amsterdam, The Netherlands.)³ Jannetje Claessen Groenvis died before 1658.

     As no last names were used nor were the parents mentioned at the marriage in Amsterdam, it is hard to be sure, that Willem Jansen is indeed this Willem Jansen Traphagen. But it certainly likely.³
     It is unclear, whether Boswyck would be Bushwick, or a place in the Netherlands, but the Burhans book has them settled in Bushwick c. 1660. In 1664 he was banished to Wiltwyck.^2,7 Name variation: Jannetje Claes.^3,8 Name variation: Jutge Claes Groenvis.⁹ Married name: Traphagen.

     Lawrence Joseph Gross was born on 10 April 1904 at Paterson, NJ. He married Angeline King, daughter of William Henry King and Mary Ellen Higgins, on 2 September 1929 at St. Mary's RC Church, Paterson, NJ.¹ Lawrence Joseph Gross died on 22 January 1955 at Paterson, NJ. He was buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa Borough.¹

     He attended Lady of Lourdes school and church. He was a member of the Pompton Lakes Chamber of Commerce. He helped to organize the Totowa Borough Democratic Club and ran for Borough Council. He was involved with the Holy Name Society of St. James Church and was also a Guard of Honor.¹ Lawrence Joseph Gross and Angeline King lived at 76 Lewis Place, Totowa Borough, NJ.¹ Lawrence Joseph Gross was before 1950 a heating and plumbing foreman for the Frank McBride Company.¹
     She and her husband were owners of Laran's Furniture Store in Pompton Lakes, NJ.¹
