     Hugh Mosher was born in 1633 at Providence (NOTE: his father supposedly immigrated in 1636.)¹ He married Rebecca Harndell, daughter of John Harndell and Sarah.¹ He died in 1713.¹
     NOTE: The last five children assigned to Hugh Mosher and Lydia Maxon had birthdates 1668-1679, which makes it very likely that they really are children of Hugh Mosher and Rebecca Harndell! Also see for more information (The children have been reassigned! Name variation: Rev Hugh Mosher.¹

     Hugh went to India for the East India Co. and was made a knight and a baron. He had no children.¹

     Hugh founded a Mosher family in Maine.¹

     Mary Mosher was born circa 1641.² She married Rev. John Maxson, son of Richard Maggsen and Rebecca, circa 1665.² She died on 2 February 1718.²

     William Mosher died in 1620.¹
     The Mosher Family is said to have come from Alsace (Germany). When Protestants were persecuted there they left for England before 1600. A William Mosher first appeared on the records of Manchester, England in 1614. He was called a silk weaver, a strong indication of French origin as all the silk weavers in England were immigrants from France. On 2 Sep 1616 he was a road overseer and in 1619 is called 'gentleman.' He died in 1620.¹

     He was Deacon at 1st Baptist Church, Trenton, NJ.¹ He lived at Lamberton, NJ.¹ He was between 1828 and 1848 Collector of the port and a Judge.¹

     Gershom Mott was born in 1822.¹ He married Elizabeth Smith in 1849.¹ He died in 1884.¹

     Rebecca L Mott married John S Cooper, son of Stephen Cooper and Sarah Morrison. She was born on 19 May 1841 at Glenwood, NJ.¹ She died on 10 February 1915 at Wantage Twp, NJ, at age 73.¹

     David Moultrie was born on 21 July 1834 at Charleston, Scotland.¹ He married Ann Todd, daughter of Robert Todd and Mary Wheeler, on 6 April 1855 (Charlestown Scotland.)¹

     James Moultrie was born on 11 October 1862 at Charleston, Dunfermline, Scotland.¹ He married Janet Rankine, daughter of Thomas Rankine and Margaret Hutchison, on 20 November 1885 at Limekilins, Dunfermline, Scotland.¹ He died on 13 November 1933 at West Fife, Dunfermline, Scotland, at age 71.¹

     Margrett Hutchinson Moultrie was born on 15 December 1885 at Dunfermline, Scotland.¹ She married Oswald Watt, son of Alexander Watt and Mary Oswald, on 15 December 1911 (Dunfermline Scotland.)¹ She died on 3 August 1967 at Jersey City, NJ, at age 81.¹
