Deeds, taxes, and maps can reveal details of our ancestors lives. Peggy Norris will share the value of searching property records. She is a retired librarian who has been using land records to identify relationships, establish timelines, pinpoint locations, and more.

Peggy W. Norris, is a retired librarian who was integral in the formation of the Bolger Heritage Center for Genealogy and Local History at Ridgewood Public Library and the development of its collection.

She has BA from The College of Wooster, Wooster, Ohio, and an MS and an MLIS from Rutgers University. She volunteers at the Bergen County Historical Society library and archives and is on the committee of the Ridgewood and Upper Saddle River Historical Societies planning the Bergen County Quilt and Coverlet Show for September of 2020. Her research interests include cemeteries, Bergen County history, genealogy, and quilts.
