William Mosher1

     William Mosher died in 1620.1
     The Mosher Family is said to have come from Alsace (Germany). When Protestants were persecuted there they left for England before 1600. A William Mosher first appeared on the records of Manchester, England in 1614. He was called a silk weaver, a strong indication of French origin as all the silk weavers in England were immigrants from France. On 2 Sep 1616 he was a road overseer and in 1619 is called 'gentleman.' He died in 1620.1
