Ruurd Pieters Wierstra was born on 19 November 1756.1 He married Aafke Jetzes Grienstra, daughter of Jetze Jacobs and Haitske Ofkes, on 24 July 1785.1 He died on 16 February 1820 at Ferwerderadeel, Friesland, The Netherlands, at age 63.1
