     Jesse Wood Case was born on 26 December 1826 at Hamilton, OH.¹ He married Margaret Ellen Hill on 24 December 1851 at Warrenton, MO.¹

     Joshua Case was born circa 1722 at Roxbury Twp, Morris County, NJ.⁵ He married Elizabeth Dickerson, daughter of Thomas Dickerson and Abigail Reeve, in 1742 at Southold, Long Island, NY, (Another unsourced note has them married in 1743 in Roxbury, Sussex County, NY.)⁵ He died on 9 July 1777 at Succasunna, Morris County, NJ.² He was buried in the First Presbyterian Church in Succasunna.⁶
