     Matthew DeWitt was baptized on 25 January 1787.^1,2 He married Maria Margaret Hasbrouck, daughter of James Hasbrouck and Elizabeth Cantine, on 1 January 1809.¹ He died on 21 June 1863 at age 76.¹
