Theodore was elected to the Park Ridge Board of Education in the election held August 7, 1894

Newspaper clipping record of March 28, 1925 provides details of the Golden Wedding Anniversary held at 49 North Maple Avenue:
On March 28, 1925 Theodore and Carrie Granger celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a surprise party held in their son's home on Maple Avenue, Park Ridge. The Grangers thought they had been invited for dinner and parchesi, and brought along their parchesi board. The house was decorated with gold and white decorations, including a yellow arch with colored lights and a centerpiece with yellow tulips. Mayor H.J. Werner of Hillsdale attended and wished the couple many happy returns. Dancing followed, and needless to say, some old time dances were nimbly stepped by the 'Old Timers" much to the amusement of the 'young foxtrotters'. The couple received many presents including blooming potted plants. Those in attendance were: Mr. & Mrs. A. J. Cooper, Elsie Cooper, Clarence Blauvelt, Anna Ritter and Carrie Ritter (Bogota), Mayor and Mrs. Werner, Mr. & Mrs. S. Streich, G.W. Saul, Mr. & Mrs. C.V.
