     Theunis was a graduate of Univ. of Leyden. He was a soldier in Holland. He was exiled from Holland by Phillip 2nd of Spain for religious reasons. He immigrated to New Amsterdam, later moved to Kingston then to Bontecoe. With others, he was awarded a 4000 acre patent in 1709 by Queen Anne in Ulster Co. He was a Huguenot and one of the founders of the Ref. D. Ch. in Kingston. Later he attended the church at New Paltz.
     NOTE: There is something seriously wrong with the timing here! His son Jacob is supposedly born in 1663, and married in 1699; daughter Elsje married in 1702; and his granddaughter Agatha Nichol supposedly married in 1675!

     Her parents were Willem Rudolf Klaasing and Maria Adriana Cornelia van Opstal.^1,2 Married name: Hoebee.^3,2 She immigrated on 31 October 1914 to Ashley Heights, NY, on the Nieuw Amsterdam, from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 31 Oct 1914 with four children: Wilhelmus (11), Marie (9), Anna (5) and Roelof (11 mo), all born in Bussum. She was going to her husband an unknown person in Ashley Heights, NY. Her contact in Holland is her father Willem Klaassing in Amersfoort. Last residence was Bussum.^3,4,2 She and Roelof Hoebee appeared on the census of 1920 at Orchard Street (#24), Franklin Township, Bergen County, NJ. with seven children: William (17), Mary (16), Anne (10), Ralph (5), all born in Holland, Katherine (4 + 9 mo), Cornelia (10 mo), and Josephine (2 + 3 mo.)^3,2

     Ethel Dorothea Klaus was born on 15 June 1904.¹ She married William Millward Bogert, son of Charles Hamilton Bogert and Sarah Gamewel Heath, on 14 November 1932 at 245 Poplar St., Hackensack, Bergen County, NJ.¹ She died on 20 February 1995 at age 90.¹

     George Klebel was born on 5 March 1885 at Schrobenhausen, Bavaria, Germany.¹ He married Johanna Lachner in 1919.¹ He married Wally Stegmeier, daughter of Maria Kneissl, on 30 July 1927.¹ He died on 19 August 1977 at age 92.¹
     After his first wife, Johanna died, he was left with George, 7, and Johanna, 5. He was introduced to Wally Stegmeier, and married her 6 weeks later.¹
