Jeannette M Kaufmann was born on 18 May 1876. She married Emile John Hugo. Jeannette M Kaufmann died on 7 November 1947 at Media, PA, Jeannette died in a nursing home at the age of 71 and is buried in Drexel Hill Cemetery, PA.

Jeannette's mother was born in the US. Her father was born in Germany and then came to the US as an infant. Jennie did not work, but was called a passamenteur (have not located the correct spelling of this term). She made and knotted fringes used on lampshades and clothing. This was a hobby that she then used to help in Emil's business. Emil developed machines to make them faster.
