     Unnamed book shows a daughter Eve from first marriage; several other sources show only two children born from the first marriage. Lawrence was a constable in the town of Harlem in 1708. Inherited the homestead on Harlem lane which was inherited by his widow in 1726.

     Laurens Hendricksen Cortright was born in 1688 at Rochester, Ulster County, NY. He was christened on 24 June 1688 at Dutch Reformed Church, Kingston, NY. He married Zara Sarah Ten Eyck, daughter of Matthys Ten Eyck and Jenneken Roosa, on 21 December 1715 at Kingston, Ulster County, NY. He died after 1742.
