     This Indenture Made the Second day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred of Seventy One Between John Thorp of Woodbridge in the County of Middlesex and Province of New Jersey Yeoman Son and Heir (at?) Law of Daniel Thorp late of Woodbridge Aforesd. in the County and Province of Aforesaid Deceased of the first Part and Abraham Burgeau of the City of Perth Amboy in the County and Province of Afsd. Gentleman of the Second part, And William Bloodgood of the City County and Province Aforesaid Yeoman of the third part, Whereas Thomas Thorp late of Woodbridge Afores. In the County and Province Aforesaid Grandfather of the Aforesaid John Thorp Party to these Presents, by his last Will and Testament Duely made and Executed Bearing Date On or About the twenty fourth Day of March in the Year of our Lord One thousand Six Hundred and Ninety two, Among Other things did give unto his Son the Aforesaid Daniel after his Decease and to his heirs Male for Ever his then Dwelling house Barn Orchard and Appurtenances together with the Farm which he had of his father Daniel Peirce and Containing One Hundred and twenty four Aces of Upland and Meadow, As by the said last Will and Testament of the said Thomas Thorp Relation being thereunto had may and will more fully and at Large Appear, And Whereas the sd. Thomas Thorp the Grandfather and the said Daniel Thorp the father of the Aforesaid John Thorp, are Dead, And the said John Thorp the Grandson of the Aforesaid, are Dead, And the said John Thorp the Grandson of the Aforesaid Thomas Thorp, party to these Presents is Intitled to the Premises, as Tenant in Tail Pursuant to the tenor of the said Last Will and Testament of the said Thomas Thorp, Now in Order to the Docking and Barring the said Entail this Indenture Witnesseth that the said John Thorp for & in Consideration of the sum of five shillings Proclamation Money of America to him in hand paid the said William Bloodgood at and Before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents, the Receipt Whereof is Hereby Acknowledged, Hath Given, Granted Released and Confirmed by the Presents Doth Give, Grant, Release and Confirm unto the sd. William Bloodgood, all the Houses Lands Tenements & Hereditaments Aforesd. With all and Singular the Appurtenances And all the Estate Right and Title Claim & Demand of the said John Thorp of in and to the same, All which were late in the tenure or Occupation of the said John Thorp, But are now in the Actual Possession of the said William Bloodgood by force of an Indenture and Bargain and Sale thereof made to him bearing date the Day before the Date of these Presents And by Virtue of the Statute for transferring Uses into Possession and by Virtue of the Act of Assembly of this Province of New Jersey for transferring Uses into Possession, And by Virtue if these presents or by Virtue of Either of them; To have and to hold all and singular the sd. Lands Tenements and Herecitaments And all and Every the premisses With the Appurtenances hereby Given Granted Released & Confirmed, or Mentioned or Intended to be Hereby Given Granted Released and Confirmed unto the sd. William Bloodgood and his Assigns for and During the Natural Life of the said John Thorp party to these Presents, to the Intent and Purpose that the said William Bloodgood shall and may be Perfect tenant of the freehold of all the said Lands and Premisses Until one or more good and Perfect Recovery or Recoveries may be Had against him the said William Bloodgood of the same Lands and Premisses And it is Covenanted Granted Concluded and Agreed by and Between all the said parties to these Presents that it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Abraham Burgeau at anytime before him the last Day of April Term next Ensuing the Date of these Presents, to Prosecute out of the High Court of Chancery of this Province of New Jersey.
