     Thomas DeWitt Cuyler was born on 28 September 1854.¹ He married Frances Lewis, daughter of John Thompson Lewis and Maria Litchfield Scott, on 3 May 1881 at Philadelphia, PA.¹ He died on 2 November 1922 at age 68.¹
     He was a lawyer in Philadelphia and Director of the Pennsylvania RR Co. He was also a trustee of Equitable Life Insurance Co.      They had 4 children.      He received a LL.D. degree from Lafayette in 1916. He was educated in 1874; Yale University.
