A Daniel Mapes (38) and Phebe Mapes (28) are in the sme household. He is still there in 1860, next door to Daniel and Phebe Conkling (who are called Conkling Mapes (with Conkling crossed out) in 1855). From the census it would seem that he might have married twice, but that Phebe is son Daniel's wife.9,10,7,11
