His son lived at an unknown place at the time of his death. According to Jim de Waal Malefyt, Abraham and Antje are enumerated in 1880 as Abraham VanDien (84, chair maker) and Mary M (84, keeping house). The reference for the 1880 census is T9-0794, pg 386A. 1870 census has Abram vanDien (74, chair caner) and Jemima (74, keeping house). They were born in Holland (M593 Roll: 885 Page: 273, Paterson 1st Ward, house #88). He immigrated on 8 May 1852 on the Dutch Bark Maria Magdalena from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 8 May 1852. Listed as Abrm Verduin (55, farmer) and his wife Jacobnynte (56). They are listed next to Willem and his wife Elizabeth.
