     Eugene Luzette Mapes was born on 14 January 1847. He married Mary Adaline Freeland, daughter of Thomas Millar Freeland and Mary A Mapes, on 10 October 1882. He died on 22 June 1892 at age 45.
     Eugene studied theology at Princeton. He was pastor of Presbyterian churches in Washingtonville, NY and Carlisle, PA. Eugene received a doctor of divinity degree from Dickenson College in 1892. A. Leslie Mapes gives middle name as Luzertie with birth and death dates of 21 Dec 1843 and 27 Jun 1900.

     Eugenia Mapes was born on 22 September 1892. She married David Washington Price on 12 January 1918. She died on 10 July 1962 at age 69. She was buried in the Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport.

     He was between 1961 and 1981 the shop foreman for the Ramsey Road Department at Ramsey, Bergen County, NJ.³      Frederick was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and recipient of nine Bronze Stars. He lived in Ramsey, NJ.^3,4

     George H Mapes was born on 15 February 1798 at Sugar Loaf, Orange County, NY. He married Susan Durland, daughter of Joseph Durland and Sarah Sally Satterly, in 1828. He died in 1884. He was buried in the Florida Cemetery in Florida.
     He was in 1880 a farmer at Goshen, Orange County, NY.³
     George's biography is printed in Ruttenber and Clark's 'History of Orange County.' George had a farm in Goshen as well as a public-house at Mapes' Corners in Goshen, which is named after him.²

     Gesilah Mapes was buried in Howells.³ She was born on 23 September 1838 at New York.^4,5,3 She married Walter Moore on 13 November 1861 at Howells, Orange County, NY.^6,3 She died on 14 January 1923 at Howells, Orange County, NY, at age 84.^7,3

     Henry Mapes was born circa 1714.²

     Henry Mapes was born on 2 April 1738 at Tappan, Rockland County, NY. He was christened on 30 April 1738 at Dutch Church, Tappan, NY. He married Ruth Rumsey, daughter of Simon Rumsey II and Phoebe Rose, in September 1756. He died in 1783. He died in September 1812 at Monroe, Orange County, NY, at age 74 death date probably much later.
     Henry served as private in Capt. Thomas McKinstry's company, Col. William Malcolm's regiment. There are six Henry's listed in 'New York in the Revolution', 2nd ed., by James A Roberts, 1898, who served in various units. Some or all of them may have been for this Henry who served different enlistments.      A transcript of his will is dated 20 Oct 1812 and was probated 4 Mar 1823. Henry was married to Anna and the father of Amy Mapes who married John Daley. Ham's book indicates that Amy's father was a different Henry Mapes (RIN 2447). Name variation: Hendrik Mapes.

     Irving Lincoln Mapes was born on 26 December 1896.²

He married Hannah Youngs, daughter of Gideon Youngs and Sarah, in 1716 at Southold, Suffolk County, NY.³ He married Hannah Youngs, daughter of Gideon Youngs and Sarah, on 25 May 1717.⁴ He died on 26 January 1732/33.^1,5 He was buried on 30 January 1733 in the Mattituck Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mattituck.⁶ He died on 24 February 1732/33 at Southold, NY.⁴
     This is the household listed with 1 white male and 2 white females during the 1686 Southold census. The name is given as Jabish Maps.      Jabez lived in Southold at the time of his will, 20 Feb 1720. Name variation: Jacob Mapes.

     James Phineas Mapes was born on 13 February 1819. He married Arminda Bolton. He died on 26 November 1885 at age 66. He was buried in the Greycourt Cemetery.

     James Weisner Mapes was born on 19 March 1822 at New York. He married Sarah King, daughter of Jonas King and Elizabeth Durland, on 27 February 1855. He died on 10 October 1882 at age 60. He was buried in Weedsport.
     He was in 1880 a farmer.² He and Sarah King appeared on the census of 1880 at Brutus, Cayuga County, NY.²      The family lived in Weedsport, Cayuga County, NY in 1881. Name variation: Wesner Mapes.²

     Jannette Mapes was born on 9 March 1823. She married Stephen Smith Mapes, son of Seth Mapes and Lucinda Smith, on 15 December 1842. She died on 12 April 1914 at age 91.

     Jerome Campbell Mapes was born on 1 December 1891. He married Blanche Ellen Gorham on 23 November 1927. He died on 28 November 1961 at age 69.

     Jesse Edwin Mapes was born on 25 December 1875. He married Edna Marsh Beyea on 27 December 1899. He died on 16 May 1920 at age 44. He was buried in Howells.

     Job Mapes was born on 24 March 1813 at Mount Hope, Orange County, NY, (The obituary has place, but d.o.b. as between 1815-16.)^2,3 He married Mary Ann Ball, daughter of James Ball and Hannah Bennett, on 7 October 1835. He died on 12 March 1905 near Hackensack, Bergen County, NJ, at age 91.^4,3 He was buried in the Mount Hope Plains Cemetery in Otisville.^3,2
     He lived in 1855 at Main St., Monroe, Orange County, NY.³
     Job was the village tailor, living in Monroe, NY in 1850 census. He was living with his son-in-law, Calvin F. Kyte, in Jersey City, NJ at 316 Pavonia Ave. for the 1900 census. Job's parents not indicated in Ham, The Mapes Family in America, the entire family is missing on page 12 but are listed in the index. Job placed here due to organization of Ham's book.      Job Mapes was elected Vice President of the Mapes Family Association in 1889 and President in 1891. Job was from the Mount Hope branch of the Mapes family.^5,3

     John Frederick Mapes was born on 6 June 1894. He married Harriett Estell Earll on 2 October 1920. He died on 21 November 1958 at age 64. He was buried in Skaneateles.

     John S Mapes was born in 1832. He died in 1889. He was buried in the Florida Cemetery in Florida.
