He died on 19 July 1934 at Montclair, Essex County, NJ, at age 45. He was buried on 21 July 1934 in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield.

He appeared on the census of 1910 at Bloomfield Ave, Montclair (Ward 2), Essex County, NJ. The house was owned by his future brother-in-law Arthur Spohn (Harry Mann in household of Arthur Spohn, Montclair Ward 2, Essex, New Jersey, United States; ED 195, sheet 7B, NARA microfilm publication T624. At FamilySearch. He was in 1914 a chauffeur.
     Harry Mann is the grandfather of Richard Mann.
Richard Mann holds obituary from the paper and a copy of the 1900 Census showing that he was an inmate of the Children's Home in Montclair.
He is listed as a chauffeur and I have pictures of him in his uniform. Family letters addressed to him by a Kate Wallace, who identifies herself as a cousin and her mother as an aunt to his mother who lived in Montclair and refers to family that still lived in Phillipi, WV and his father who reportedly moved to OH where he started a second family that possibly resulted in 2 daughters.
Birth is confirmed by Ashtabula Genealogical Society email 12/5/2003, Probate Court Birth Record Volumn 2 page 276 on LDS microfilm reel 890258.
RM holds copy of the marriage certificate showing that he was living in Phillipi, WV at the time of the marriage.

     Harry Scott Mann , Jr. was born on 20 July 1917 at Montclair, Essex County, NJ. He died on 11 December 1968 at Marlborough, Middlesex County, MA, at age 51. He was buried in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield.
     He obtained a BS in engineering from Stevens Institute Of Technology, and a MS from the same in 1948.
     Harry Scott Mann is the father of Richard Mann.
I have a copy of the birth certificate.
He attended college thanks to a scholarship from Walter Kidde. After graduation, he worked for Maxwell House Coffee until the start of WWII at which time he joined Walter Kidde Co. where he progressed from an engineer to the Comptroller of the company. He left them in 1964 when it became a conglomerate and joined Digital Equipment Corporation as their Comptroller. He was resposible for getting the stock listed on the stock exchange. He remained with them until his death in 1968. He was active in First Presbyterian Church, Montclair, NJ which was the church the family belonged to when he was a child. He was a member of the church council and active with the church choir. After moving to MA, he joined with the local church there. He was also active with the American Management Association and was a frequent lecturer at their functions.

     Elmer Leon Mapes was born on 27 October 1885. He married Grace M Wells on 27 June 1907. He died circa 31 October 1956 at Poughkeepsie, NY.3
     Elmer L Mapes was elected Vice-President of the Mapes Family Association in 1926, 1927, President in 1928, 1929.4      They lived in Middletown, NY. He was a glass cutter for a while and later purchased the retail cigar and tobacco business with A.M. Horton. Elmer bought out A.M. Horton and later ran the business himself. Later still he was employed by IBM in Poughkeepsie.
