Open Tours at Gethsemane Cemetery

On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, June 17–19th, from noon–4pm, visit Gethsemane Cemetery and explore this historic cemetery of national importance.

In order to protect the remaining headstones and fragile archeology, Gethsemane Cemetery is normally closed to the public—and open only for special events. For the past few years, the County of Bergen has opened the cemetery to tours in celebration of Juneteenth, which features guided tours and talks about the site and the people interred there.
